The steps of performing Hajj (pilgrimage) 1- IHRAM (The state of pilgrim sanctity) Ihram – A state in which one is prohibited to practice certain deeds that are lawful at other times. It is necessary when performing the rites of Umrah and Hajj. 2- Tawaaf al-qudoom (The CIRCUMAMBULATION of arrival). 3- Sa'ee - GOING between the hills of Safa and Marwa. 4- Staying overnight in Mina. 5- STANDING AT 'ARAFA. 6- Staying overnight in Muzdalifah until after halfway through the night, for those who reach it before that time, except for those whose job is to bring water and tend livestock. 7- Staying overnight in Mina during the days of at-Tashreeq. 8- Stoning Jamrat-ul-‛Aqabah at the largest pillar in Mina. 9- Slaughtering sacrificial animals. 10- Having one’s head shaved off or one’s hair cut short. 11- Tawaf Alifada: GOING-FORTH CIRCUMAMBULATION. 12- Stoning the Jamaraat in the right sequence. 13- Farewell Tawaf (CIRCUMAMBULATION) before leaving Mecca.
